ABOUT ME
hey there, i'm ben.
I'm a freelance photographer based in New England - specifically the Boston area. I specialize in headshots, production photography, portraiture, events, weddings, engagements, and editorial photography. My studio is located at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, MA.

Behind the scenes, I'm known to nerd out about cooking, world cuisines/cultures, the great outdoors, and science. I'm also fond of the fall months (soup season is my jam), eclectic playlists, my pets, a nice latte, interior decorating, and playing guitar.
My photography career began in college, while getting my BFA in theatre direction / stage management. As a freshman, I started taking headshots for acting students and photographing theatre and dance productions, which led me to develop a passion for capturing, people, spaces, and life's ephemeral moments. Just about 9 years later, at 28, I've been able to merge my artistic passions into a career I really enjoy. I've been a performer, directed for the stage (Awards: KCACTF Region One Winner/National Finalist, SDC Directing Initiative), radio, and screen, and my photography work has been featured in many publications, including The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, The Arts Fuse, and Here Comes the Guide. My experience in the performing arts and my love for directing has strongly shaped my eye for artistic composition, storytelling, and the capture of human expression.
